Founding of the Jardin des Voix, Les Arts Florissants' international academy for young singers

William Christie's gardens in Thiré are listed on the French Supplementary List of Historic Monuments

Lanch of the Historical Performance Programme at the Juilliard School in New York, an initiative of William Christie, and beginning of the partnership with Les Arts Florissants

William Christie is elected at the French Académie des Beaux-Arts

First edition of the festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie

Paul Agnew is appointed associate musical director of Les Arts Florissants.
