Two « Centres Culturels de Rencontre » come together in music

The Fontevraud Abbey and Les Arts Florissants share the same passion: that of a rich patrimonial heritage from past centuries, be it musical or architectural. Both certified “Centre Culturel de Rencontre”, they will join together this year to launch the 2017/2018 season together with a whole weekend of musical programming at the exceptional site of Fontevraud. Two out of the ordinary days, but not out of time… At every hour of the day the public will be invited to stroll between the different spaces within the abbey and to listen to short musical interludes of music from the baroque repertory. On top of all this, at the end of each of the two days a great concert will take place honouring two of Les Arts Florissants’ most emblematic composers: Charpenter and Monteverdi. A rich musical time to be had by all!
