A "Centre Culturel de Rencontre" in Thiré
Following a decision by the French Ministry of Culture, Les Arts Florissants and the endowment fund « Les Jardins de Musique de William Christie » have been awarded the national label « Centre culturel de Rencontre », which distinguishes projects associating creation, patrimony and transmission.
Paying tribute to the ensemble’s initiative concerning the rediscovery and transmission of baroque music together with the art of gardening, this label enhances in particular the project based in Thiré in the Vendée – Pays de la Loire region where Les Arts Florissants have reinforced their ties by organising a large number of artistic cultural and outreach initiatives.
This marks a new stage in the dynamic of perpetuating Les Arts Florissants just a few weeks before the Spring Festival!
